This design project focused on a refined Caribbean Boho aesthetic with emphasis on earthy and natural colors.
The primary color used is terracotta orange to create a high-impact visual effect. This is especially important for this property as the purpose is to generate attention and bookings on vacation rental websites.
The heartbeat of this space is the terracotta statement wall.
A custom limewash technique using two distinct shades of orange was used to create a soft, weathered patina that shifts with the island’s natural light, providing a rich backdrop.
Design with Strategy:
In the competitive vacation rental market, "stopping the scroll" is essential. Every element here was curated with the Airbnb guest experience in mind.
Visual Impact:
The warmth of the terracotta acts as a vibrant anchor against the deep blue of the Caribbean sea and sky.
Breathability: A minimalist layout ensures the space feels expansive and tranquil, never crowded.
Materiality: We utilized natural wood and rattan to ground the home in its tropical environment.
